Job Description

Major responsibilities: (most important tasks, not more than 8 headlines, defined in 2-3 sentences only)

• Conduct dimensional inspection of pump components and fabricated parts (Volute casings, impellers, Shafts, Diffusers, Stage casings, Shaft seals housing, base frame etc.) using measuring instruments such as vernier calliper’s, micrometre’s, height gauges, and dial indicators.
• Perform visual inspection to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, surface irregularities and welding defects.
• Execute NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities including DPI, RT, UT as per requirements.
• Verify that vendor manufacturing processes follow approved drawings and specifications.
• Review and verify vendor documentation like inspection report, calibration certificates, and NDT reports.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and corrective action requests as required.
• Ensure that all inspection results are documented accurately and submitted to quality management or clients.
• Communicate inspection findings and work with vendors to resolve quality issues.
• Identify recurring issues in vendor quality performance and provide feedback for process improvements.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Functional skills – Knowledge and well familiar with measuring instruments to measure linear and Geometric dimensions (GD &T), Knowledge of instrument calibration, Knowledge of machines and fabrication processes. Awareness of NDT Testings. Well understood machining drawings.

Behavioural Skills – Good Communication, Creativity, Decision making, Good organizer, positive attitude, smart worker, knowing customer needs, capable to understand & resolve work related issues.
