The Global Content Development Officer will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing self-learning strategies and managing content across the GBS organization. This position focuses on creating and managing self-directed learning programs and knowledge assets that empower employees to enhance their skills and knowledge independently, aligning with the organization’s global business needs.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Develop Self-Learning Programs: Design and implement effective self-learning strategies and programs, ensuring alignment with GBS organizational goals.
Content Creation and Management: Create, curate, and manage engaging and relevant self-learning materials, including e-learning modules, videos, and interactive content. Oversee the organization and accessibility of knowledge assets.
Platform Management: Collaborate with the administration of the learning management system (LMS) and the different document repositories and data management systems to ensure seamless access to self-learning resources and content.
Program Delivery: Facilitate the rollout of self-learning initiatives, ensuring high engagement and accessibility.
Evaluation and Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of self-learning programs through metrics and feedback, and continuously improve content and delivery methods.
Collaboration: Work closely with GBS training managers and other functional leaders to identify self-learning needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Support Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement within the GBS organization.
Required Skills
Self-Learning Expertise: Strong understanding of self-directed learning methodologies and best practices.
Content Development and Management: Proficiency in creating, curating, and managing engaging and interactive learning materials.
Technical: Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms or document repositories and data management systems. Preferably: Articulate 360 suite, Genially, Vyond, HeyGen, Cornerstone, Shelf.io and AI tools (Copilot, ClickLearn) etc.
Analytical: Ability to assess the effectiveness of self-learning programs using established instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) and drive data-driven improvements.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective content creation and stakeholder engagement.
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders across regions and departments.
Key Metrics/Targets
Learning Engagement: Participation rates and engagement levels in self-learning programs.
Program Effectiveness: Measured by participant feedback and improvement in skills and competencies.
Content Utilization: Usage rates of self-learning materials and resources.
Project Success: Adherence to project timelines
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Business, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on self-learning or e-learning, and content management.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications in training, e-learning, or project management are a plus.
