Within BDC Capital, the Officer, Client Support Operations sits at the centre of investment operations, supporting venture capital activities through the coordination of transactions, governance processes, and controlled documentation. The role works closely with investment, legal, finance, and back‑office teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution. CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Coordinate operational activities across investment teams, legal, finance, and back‑office stakeholders in a time‑sensitive, transaction‑driven environment
  • Ensure compliance with BDC Capital governance frameworks, policies, procedures, Delegation of Authority, and AML/KYC requirements
  • Maintain the integrity of governance and operational controls through accurate processing, documentation, and second‑level reviews
  • Manage multiple concurrent requests while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Safeguard sensitive and confidential legal, transactional, and client information in line with governance and risk standards

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience supporting investment, transaction‑based, or governance‑driven environments
  • Experience coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders, including investment teams, legal, finance, and operational partners
  • Experience supporting governance, board, or committee processes
  • Ability to manage time‑sensitive requests, prioritize work, and multitask effectively
  • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment in assessing priorities and managing risk
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfort working with multiple systems and controlled documentation environments
  • Comfort and knowledge in leveraging AI tools to automate tasks where possible and act as a champion of leveraging copilot in the team and broader organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting venture capital, private equity, or investment operations
  • Experience maintaining cap tables, financing rounds, or investment client data
  • Experience administering systems such as iLEVEL and Affinity CRM
  • Experience with records management, archiving, or vault documentation
  • Experience supporting month‑end or quarter‑end operational processes
  • Experience assisting with policy or procedure documentation and updates
