Job Description

Citi is looking for a Cash Securities Settlement Senior Analyst to join its Global Markets Operations team, playing a senior role in the end-to-end settlement of cash securities across APAC markets. In this position, you will serve as a subject matter expert within the back office, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of trade confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to operational improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full settlement lifecycle for cash securities transactions across APAC markets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in trade matching, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Resolve complex operational issues by conducting in-depth evaluations of securities processing procedures and applying knowledge of industry standards to deliver effective solutions.
• Act as the senior checker and procedural expert for assigned processing areas, overseeing quality control and ensuring all transactions meet required standards before completion.
• Monitor and guide junior team members in their day-to-day processing activities, providing hands-on support to maintain team performance and accuracy.
• Prepare and deliver regular management reports that clearly communicate processing status, exceptions, and key operational metrics.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline settlement workflows and supporting the rollout of new operational techniques.
• Identify and escalate control issues in a transparent manner, applying sound judgement to uphold compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Five to eight years of experience in securities operations, back-office processing, or a closely related financial services function.
• Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of cash securities processing, including trade matching, trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Experience operating in APAC markets and working across shift-based or extended-hours environments.
• Ability to identify root causes of complex processing failures and deliver clear, structured resolutions that prevent recurrence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey operational information clearly to both peers and senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
