Job Description

Citi is looking for a Cash Securities Settlement Officer to join our Global Markets Operations team, where you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of cash securities transactions across APAC markets. Working at the intersection of trade processing and operational control, this role offers the opportunity to build deep expertise in back office securities operations while contributing directly to the integrity of Citi's transaction services.

Responsibilities

• Process and settle cash securities transactions — including trade matching, trade confirmation, and reconciliation — ensuring accuracy and timeliness across APAC markets.
• Identify and resolve securities and derivatives settlement issues, escalating unresolved matters to the appropriate teams and collaborating on effective solutions.
• Monitor transaction activity to detect and address errors early, reducing operational risk and protecting the bank's financial position.
• Analyze operational reports to meet management requirements, support control activities, and contribute to the rollout of new products and services.
• Recommend process improvements to leadership based on observed patterns, settlement trends, and operational performance.
• Ensure all transaction processes comply with internal audit standards, regulatory requirements, and control policies.
• Provide analytical input to traders and support the review of derivative products as part of day-to-day operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2–3 years of experience in securities operations, transaction processing, or a related back office financial services function.
• Working knowledge of Treasury products, accounting principles, and regulatory policies applicable to securities markets.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritize effectively in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting that includes shift rotation and extended working hours as required by APAC market coverage.
• Proficiency in macros, with the ability to apply automation to support reporting and operational workflows.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
