Officer - Cash Operations (Galle)

The Job

The person will be responsible for Manage the end-to-end cash operations including reconciliation of amounts received by supporting regional sales teams and the sales operation.

Principle Accountability:

• Collect cash and cheque for payment of insurance premium or related expenses as per the guidelines of Union Assurance.
• Ensure safekeeping of cash, cheques from customers while following due diligence
• Provide payment plans basis customer requirement
• Maintain and track cash receipts and keep updating the records
• Liaison with the finance team to reconcile data pertaining to premiums received by cheque/cash
• Assist the customers with any queries during the process of depositing cash/cheque as per the stipulated SLAs
• Ensure to follow SLA and guidelines established for smooth cash operations.
• Ensure to maintain proper records on miscellaneous items, cash collection and proper record management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in cash handling, cashiering, finance operations, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cash management and account reconciliation.
• Good numerical, record-keeping, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
