Job Description

The Officer Business Development supports the execution of business development initiatives to generate, nurture, and convert leads into revenue opportunities. The role works closely with the Business Development Manager to identify prospects, engage clients, develop tailored solutions, maintain business development pipelines, and contribute to achieving revenue targets. The position also supports client relationship management, market research, reporting, and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and support new business opportunities through market research, networking, and outreach activities.
  • Conduct cold calls, phone calls, meetings, and client interactions to generate leads and explore business opportunities.
  • Support client meetings, presentations, follow-ups, and lead conversion activities.
  • Represent the organization at events, exhibitions, and networking activities.
  • Assist in achieving assigned business development and revenue targets.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints related to business development services.
  • Support client retention efforts, identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities, and encourage repeat business.
  • Keep clients informed about approval processes and service updates.

Solution Development & Proposal Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized client solutions.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, presentations, and other sales materials.
  • Promote Free Zone products and educate customers on regulations, documentation requirements, and legal setup options.

Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
  • Utilize market insights to identify opportunities and support business development strategies.

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities in the CRM system.
  • Track opportunities, client interactions, and pipeline performance.
  • Update and manage leasing opportunities, vacancies, and portfolio information to maximize revenue.
  • Provide regular pipeline updates, forecasts, and business development reports.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Registration & Licensing, Free Zone Services, Customer Service, Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams.
  • Ensure smooth service delivery and alignment with client expectations.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare required documentation and obtain approvals according to governance standards.
  • Participate in audits and contribute to policy and procedure reviews.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare business development statistics, project status reports, and periodic management reports.
  • Update SOPs, reports, and related documentation.
  • Recommend corrective actions for quality or compliance issues identified during reporting reviews.

Technology & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for automation and technology enhancements within the department.
  • Contribute to technology-related initiatives that improve efficiency and service delivery.

Professional Development & HSE

  • Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance technical and business skills.
  • Participate in performance reviews and development plans.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and report hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in required HSE training and support safe and environmentally responsible work practices.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Real Estate.
