China Meeting Services Team of Issuer Services is one of the core departments in Global Core Operations (GCO), mainly in delivering shareholder meeting services to listed issuer clients. China Meeting Services Team does not need to maintain a sales target but has a crucial role in sales support for relationship managers.

We are now looking for an officer to join our shareholder meeting services team in Shanghai. This is an exciting opportunity for a fresh graduate to work in a global corporation that will give you a good platform for your future career development as Computershare is the top share registrar globally.

A role you will love

The officer is mainly responsible for supporting the shareholder meetings in the mainland China. You shall coordinate with Relationship Management team to assist our clients to carry out corporate actions, dividend / corporate action payments, and shareholder meetings according to the agreed timeline and regulatory requirement.

Other key accountabilities will include:

  • Focus on major clients in the mainland China such as Bocom / Haohai etc. Handling shareholder meetings in Shanghai or other cities, including remote areas (covering all designated physical and remote meetings).
  • Learn about other aspects for listing company services such as dispatching corporate communication documents, dividend payment and corporate actions.
  • Communicate with COS, RMs, other in-house back-office departments and professional parties (e.g. lawyers, com secretaries, paying banks) for day-to-day operations.
  • Frequent travel may be required.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required.

What will you bring to the role?

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent multi-task and time management skills, pay attention to details and be efficient, willing to travel domestically. In cooperation with other members of the team (Senior Manager, Manager or Interns), you should have the self-research ability, can conduct independent in-depth research on business-related issues, and fully support client services. Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Corporate Government, Business Management or closely related areas.
  • Customer focused with excellent listening and communications skills, native Chinese and fluent in English. Self-motivated and has a strong sense of responsibility. Ability to work independently and collaboratively under work pressure.
  • Demonstrate initiative, organizational, good learning & problem-solving skills, and meets attendance / punctuality requirements.
  • Possess risk awareness and legal sense as the work of this role carries out involve supporting issuer clients to comply with rule and regulations such as Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen Listing Rules.
  • Proficiency in MS Office. Able to accept a certain amount of overtime work and travel arrangements.
