REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY:
A certificate* of completion from one of the following Los Angeles County Job Services or Work Readiness Job Training Programs**:
- Department of Economic Opportunity Work Readiness Job Program
- Department of Mental Health’s South Bay Mental Health (SA-4 Peer Resource Center) Work Readiness Job Training Program
- Department of Public Social Services GAIN or GROW/START Job Services Training Program
- Department of Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services Job or Work Readiness Training Program
- Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) Job or Work Readiness Training Programs.
WITHHOLD INFORMATION:
No withhold will be allowed. Required certification must have been completed at the time of filing.
LICENSE REQUIRED:
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
PHYSICAL CLASS II – LIGHT:
This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.

EXAMINATION CONTENT:
This examination will consist of a multiple-choice and/or simulation assessment(s), weighted 100%, measuring:
You will need to receive a score of 70% or higher to proceed with being placed on the list. Since this opportunity is a noncompetitive, pursuant to CSR 8.02, those who achieve a passing score will be placed on the list without indication of relative standing. Candidates entitled to veteran’s credit will be placed ahead of candidates who are not. For information on veteran’s credit, please review the Employment Information section of this job posting. This list will be used to fill vacancies, as they occur.
Important Note: You will also be asked to complete the Life Experiences assessment for research purposes only. Your responses will not be used to evaluate your qualifications or affect your score in this recruitment. Although your participation will not impact your examination results, we encourage you to complete the assessment. Your responses will help us improve our examination process for future recruitments.

We provide study guides and other test preparation resources to help candidates prepare for employment tests. While the guides may help in preparing for the test, we recommend reviewing all related materials that seem necessary.
ELIGIBILITY AND VACANCY INFORMATION:
Applicants will be placed on a list of eligible candidates without indication of relative standing in the examination for a period of 12 months. Applications will be processed as they are received and added to the list accordingly. The appointing power may appoint any one of the names on the appropriate list, except a person without Veterans credit may not be appointed if there are three or more names on the list of persons entitled to Veteran’s credit.
