Pay Range: $21.29 - $27.00 per hour (Non-bargaining Pay Plan, B21, Step 1-13)
Hiring Range: $21.29 - $22.60 per hour (Non-bargaining Pay Plan, B21, Step 1-4)

There is one Office Specialist I opening with the Yakima County EMS Office. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for Emergency Medical Services.

Note: This is a Non-Bargaining Unit position.
This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies that occur within 90 days of the closing of this position. (This excludes Yakima County Sheriff's Office and Department of Corrections)
Equipment Used: Desktop Computer – daily business at the office including word processing, excel spreadsheets, WorkDay, PowerPoints, etcetera
Laptop Computer – taking minutes at meetings, running specialized software for testing, and High Performance CPR manikin software
Printers and Photocopiers – producing necessary materials for training and for the daily business of the office.
SimMan and SimPad – practical testing for providers
High Performance CPR Manikins – teaching CPR, AED, and ventilation skills
CPR and Airway Manikins – teaching CPR, AED, and ventilation skills
AEDs – teaching CPR, AED, and ventilation skills
EMS splinting materiel (example- KTD, backboard, KED, cardboard splints, moldable splints)
All BLS EMS equipment.
Familiarity with other EMS equipment
Passenger vehicle
Working Conditions: This position is rated as Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects or work out in the field.
Environment: Travel, Multiple work locations, Other: may be required to work outside of standard business hours and at alternate work locations.
Physical Demands: Carrying, Handling, Lifting, Reaching, Sitting, Walking, Fingering, Talking, Visual Acuity.
Intellectual Demands: Ability to multitask, Confidentiality, Ability to work under pressure, ability to follow written instruction, ability to follow verbal instruction.
