The University of Alabama at BirminghamGeneral Responsibilities:

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Office Services Specialist III for the UAB Alumni House with the Office of Advancement. This position is responsible for serving as the point of contact for the Alumni House. This role will provide assistance to those who enter the building and provide additional support for Alumni House staff including but not limited to guest direction and client/event support. This position will also support the data analyst in entering data. This position will report to the Director, Alumni House.This position is on-site.Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Receives, screens, and routes all phone lines coming into the office.
  2. Greet and welcome guests who come into the Alumni House during regular business hours.
  3. Assist guests visiting the Alumni House.
  4. Support the data analyst with data entry.
  5. Provide support for staff, including but not limited to client/event support.
  6. Other Duties to support the NAS Board of Directors.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.Hourly Pay Range: $13.00 – $20.19

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience required.Preferred:

  • Degree preferred
  • Driver’s license required
  • Must be able to lift and move a minimum of 15 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hoursKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Detail-oriented
  • Customer service-minded
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Event support
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
  • Written and verbal communication skills
