Job Description

The City Council serves as a link between the citizens of Boston and their municipal government. Councilors assist constituents by connecting them to resources, services, and City departments, while advocating for all Bostonians. The 13 councilors are responsible for creating, passing, and amending local laws, as well as approving the City's budget each year.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Answer phones and emails in response to constituent service inquiries and work with the appropriate neighborhood liaison to find solutions. - Assist with city council and office administration tasks, including managing citations, reviewing newsletters, entering data, filing, and other administrative duties as needed.
