Lead operations, support your team, and help drive the success of a busy manufacturing branch.

Due to internal promotion Metroll Roofing Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Office Manager to join our Rockhampton team.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring customers receive the highest level of end-to-end service through consistent compliance with core processes and the effective management of internal operations. As a key liaison across the branch, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the office while supporting operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the office team to deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Ensuring accurate processing of information and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supporting payroll preparation, administration, recruitment, onboarding, and induction activities.
  • Monitoring office workloads, employee performance, and identifying training and development opportunities.
  • Preparing branch reports, including Daily Operating Reports (DOR) and Margin Reports.
  • Assisting with budgeting, cost control, audits, and general branch administration.
  • Liaising closely with production, sales, dispatch, and accounts teams to support efficient branch operations and maximise manufacturing output.
  • Promoting a safe workplace by ensuring compliance with WHS requirements and maintaining office facilities to company standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in an office management or similar administration leadership role, preferably within the building, manufacturing, or related industry.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and business systems, with experience using Pronto highly regarded.
  • A solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

Desirable

  • Experience within the building products, construction, or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of metal roofing and building products.
  • Experience using the Pronto ERP system.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring office staff.
