Job Title: Office Manager
Main Purpose:
This role is a key position within the Praxis Group, responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the Manchester office and supporting the wider business with professional, proactive office management.
We are looking for someone confident, organised and approachable, who can balance hands-on office management with the discipline and accuracy.

Main Duties:
Office Management:
- Ensure the office runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis, providing a professional, well-managed environment for staff, clients and visitors.
- Act as first point of contact for internal and external queries, handling calls, emails and visitors in a professional manner
- Oversee reception, meeting room management, Kitchen, supplies, stationery and general office facilities
- Manage office Health & Safety, including fire warden and first aider co-ordination, risk assessments, and compliance with Group policies
- Co-ordinate travel, accommodation and events for directors and staff, ensuring cost-effective and efficient arrangements
- Support senior management with administrative and organisational tasks, including diary co-ordination, document preparation and minute taking at quarterly operational board
- Maintain office processes, logs and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency (archiving, storage, IT liaison)
- Introduce and maintain templates, processes and systems to improve communication and consistency across the office
- Organise and coordinate company events, managing all logistical arrangements
- Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, providing initial support and liaising with external providers as required
- Undertake small errands to support the efficient running of the office
- Management of post received, ensuring timely distribution & outgoing post
Hanover Law:
- Provide administrative support to the Hanover Law team, including file opening/closing, scanning, binding, document uploads, and archiving
- Co-ordinate programme and holiday approvals, ensuring smooth workflow within the practice
- Handle staff expenses, supplier queries and client ledger issues
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in an office manager or senior administrator role, ideally within a professional services environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance and accuracy
- Confident communicator, able to deal effectively with colleagues, clients and senior stakeholders
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently
- Competent in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) with confidence to pick up new systems
- Professional manner and appearance, with the ability to represent the business positively at all times
