Job Location: Albany, NY 12208
Salary Range: $47.00 - $58.00 Hourly

Job Category: EngineeringAs the Office Engineer on NYSDOT projects, you will be responsible for performing a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard construction engineering practices as well as established NYSDOT record-keeping protocols and practices in an on-site construction field office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Construction Field Office on an ongoing basis
- Interface with the Department Engineer-In-Charge, NYSDOT inspection staff, Regional support staff, and various Headquarters representatives on an ongoing basis.
- Report to the senior Boswell staff assigned to the project; interface with the Boswell Project Manager, Resident Engineer, and Senior inspection staff on various facets of the project
- Interface with the Contractor on all aspects of the project including required submittals, certifications, quantity takeoffs, cost data, and other project records
- Establish, maintain, and update the Project Administrative Records in accordance with MURK
- Maintain project records including but not limited to daily reports, quantities, disputed work, contract change orders, item payments, and material testing and certifications
- Attend project meetings
- Assist with the preparation of meeting reports
- Assist with the preparation of monthly progress reports and maintain project logs
- Perform review of daily inspection reports and quantity computations
- Assist in determining schedule and budget requirements
- Assign tasks  and coordinate work with technical and administrative staff
- Adhere to NYSDOT standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering Degree (ASCE Equivalent)
- NICET Certification (III / IV)
- Expertise in NYSDOT SiteManager; MURK; Standard Specifications
- Familiar with project scheduling (Primavera a plus)
- Microsoft Office
