Job Description

Cordoba Corporation is looking for a Senior Office Engineer to support the Facilities Sector. The Office Engineer provides a broad spectrum of technical and administrative duties primarily associated with submittal and Request for Information (RFI)management as well as construction management support. Supports the project management team (project manager, assistant PM, construction manager, design manager, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CTA Curbside Improvement Program in the receipt, distribution, and maintenanceof submittals. Perform construction contract correspondence, document and plan controlfunction, input data into PM Web, and prepare management information status reports, asrequired.
  • Update and maintain logs for submittals and RFIs in PM Web, the project information system.
  • Maintain project files and document/submittal management systems (hard and electronic copies). Work with the Contractor(s) to ensure the drawings are posted efficiently and in a timely manner. Distribute documents, submittals and RFIs for review; track and compileresponses/review comments, obtain management approval and issue responses to Contractor(s).
  • Manipulate electronic files of various formats to create exhibits for presentations and meetings.
  • Complete other responsibilities and assist as assigned to support the project such as: attend and document project meetings (write agendas and minutes), perform expediting functions, and prepare and maintain an expediti ng log; etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction
  • Management or other related field requiredOptional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc., or any other relevant professional license or certifications.
  • 5 years or more of experience, preferably on airport projects
  • Experience with projects more than $50 million in value.
  • Experience with various delivery methods, including
  • Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR andDesign/Build
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
  • Ability to work in PM Web preferred

Salary Range: $82,000 to $93,000 yearly

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Environment: Onsite
