The Office Engineer is responsible for the efficient procurement of materials and services for construction contracts. This role involves maintaining and updating procurement databases, ensuring that trades are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines, and coordinating scope review meetings. The Procurement Administrator acts as a central liaison between the owner and contractor, assists with employee badges and parking passes, and supports the team by taking meeting notes and scheduling meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management: Efficiently procure materials and services necessary for construction contracts.
  • Database Maintenance: Update and maintain databases with relevant procurement information.
  • Trade Coordination: Notify trades of their responsibilities and ensure they are aware of procurement deadlines.
  • Meeting Coordination: Set up and coordinate scope review meetings.
  • Liaison Role: Serve as a central point of contact between the owner and contractor, ensuring smooth communication.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with the issuance of employee badges and parking passes.
  • Team Support: Take meeting notes and manage the scheduling of meetings for the team.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.

Skills Required:

  • 2-3 years in a technical background with experience in coordination and administrative duties, preferably within a mission critical sector
  • Team-Oriented: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive: Forward-looking and proactive approach to work.
  • Self-Starter: Demonstrate a self-starting attitude with a can-do approach to challenges.
  • Technical Proficiency: Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Preferred Experience: A background in construction is preferred but not required.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or other discipline), or similar studies, is preferred, but not required.
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable

The pay range shown reflects the minimum and maximum hourly rates the company may offer for this position. The final rate will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications.

Hourly Rate $40$50 USD

Eligibility for per diem is determined by company policy and is applicable only under specific circumstances, based on job location and travel requirements.

Weekly Per Diem $1,500$1,500 USD
