POSITION Clerical/Secretary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Skills in work processing applications
  • Ability to work well with administrative team as well as staff and parents
  • Knowledge of Administrative requirements and standard clerical procedures
  • Stenography/Speedwriting
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Supervisor may find appropriate

REPORTS TO Principal/Supervisor

SUPERVISES None

JOB GOAL Under the direction of the site administrator(s), prepare responsible and comprehensive clerical and secretarial materials in support of all district educational goals

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to collect, process and maintain confidential data related to staff and/or students
  • Demonstrated experience in working with various software applications (e.g. MicroSoft Office, X2, MUNIS)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicating effectively with others and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare official correspondence, maintain filing system for confidential staffing records and files (e.g. personnel, medical)
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with others within an educational office environment
  • Ability to perform occasional note taking during interview sessions and investigations.

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT In accordance with the Fall River Clerical Employees Association contract. Continued employment is contingent on job performance, program needs, and availability of funds.
