This position works in the front office of the agency and provides clerical assistance to the Benefits team. The primary duty of this part-time Administrative Support Specialist II will be to provide scanning services for the Department. Documents to be scanned may include benefit program verification documents, returned mail, and other case-related documents. Employee is required to upload any scanned documents to the appropriate case in VaCMS in accordance with established policies and regulations. To perform these duties, the employee will be expected to maintain records and follow all confidentiality policies regarding benefit cases. Employee will be expected to attend training required to perform these duties. It should be noted that this position is being hired on a temporary basis.
The work requires the ability to exert minimal but not constant physical effort to perform sedentary work, typically involving some combination of crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, lifting, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, visual acuity, walking and may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (5 to 10 pounds), visual perception and discrimination, the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds, perceive and discriminate color, perceive odors, and require oral communications.
The work is regularly performed in a safe and secure work environment that may periodically have unpredicted requirements or demands.

Virginia’s judicial system consists of the Supreme Court of Virginia and the Court of Appeals of Virginia, the Circuit Courts, and the lower General District Courts and the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts.
