
The Salvation Army’s Lynn Corps. is hiring an Office and Food Pantry Coordinator and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:
Location: 1 Franklin Street, Lynn, MA
Hours/week: 25 hours per week
Exemption: Non-exempt
Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Oversee all office functions including but not limited to answering and directing calls, welcome visitors, manage volunteers, track gifts-in -kind, and simple filing, work closely with the social ministries case manager to co-ordinate deliveries, unload deliveries, pack food packs, manage food pantry days, distribute food, train volunteers, register clients in pantry soft.
a) Answer phones and direct calls accordingly and greet visitors
b) Maintain files, coping, faxing, filing, and enter clients into Pantry Soft.
c) Draft letters to donors as directed by the Corps Officers.
d) Record gifts in kind monthly.
e) Work closely with Social Ministries Case Manager and Corps Officers to assist with food orders and deliveries
f) Manage food delivery days and work with staff/volunteers to unload and put away the food
g) Work closely with Program Assistant and Janitor to unload food truck.
h) Train volunteers to pack food bags and how to use Pantry Soft
i) Daily, ensure that the pantry and all used area are keep clean and ensure that the Health Department standards are being met
j) Perform other duties within the scope of the positions assigned by supervisor.
High School Diploma
Social Services experience preferred
Receptionist experience preferred
