Job Description

• Processes requests for supplies and purchase orders from leadership staff, receives in and distributes orders and supplies.
• Acts as facility-level liaison between vendors, Accounts Payable, and the Corporate Finance team
• Creates Purchase Orders for both supplies and facility projects; maintains office supplies
• Maintains vendor relationships, requests bids for annual and consumable supplies.
• Perform routine clerical functions, such as, file retention; document information promptly and clearly
• Operates independently and have the desire to learn new processes
• Answer phone calls, direct calls and messages as appropriate
• Greet visitors and direct as appropriate
• Process requests to IT Service Desk
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend, respond to, and create written instructions, e-mail correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts and make simple calculations.
• Ability to work with often-changing circumstances in the Logistics field.
• Ability to think clearly, take initiative, and work independently.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers via phone and email
• High school diploma and one-year experience working in an office environment
• Must have computer experience, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with SAP or other WMS systems a plus
• Familiarity with a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment a plus
• Must be able to communicate in English
