Location: Northside Hospital Forsyth, Cumming, GA

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM (40 hours per week)

Position Summary

NOVO Health Services is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Off-Site Linen Distribution Technician to support our linen distribution operations at Northside Hospital Forsyth. This role is responsible for the distribution of clean linen, collection of soiled linen, inventory management, and providing outstanding customer service to hospital staff and patients.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transport clean linen in covered carts to designated hospital locations.
  • Collect soiled linen from assigned areas and transport it safely to designated collection points.
  • Verify linen quantities and ensure accurate delivery and distribution.
  • Conduct linen inventories as required.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve linen-related issues in a professional manner.
  • Communicate client needs, service concerns, and quality issues to management promptly.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships through exceptional service.
  • Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
  • Follow all company, hospital, and regulatory procedures and requirements.
  • Operate equipment and perform related departmental duties as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and infection prevention standards.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including data entry, answering phones, and completing required documentation.
  • Comply with Joint Commission standards and healthcare facility requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Required Experience

  • One to two years of experience in healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, hospitality, or a related service environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new applications.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to move rolling linen carts weighing up to 400 pounds or more.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while meeting the physical demands of the position throughout the entire shift.
