This is a Non-Civil Service Full-Time announcement for the Office of Emergency Management (OEM).
Performs the most complex technical duties to ensure 24-hour operational readiness. Act as lead departmental liaison to Metro ITS, as well as other departments to assist with departmental requests and needs. Troubleshoot daily hardware and network errors, responding to employee requests.
This position may be requested to respond to an emergency incident, to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), prescheduled events, workshops, or presentations and assist with OEM ITS setup and needs.
Design programs, create policies, submit requisitions, gather quotes, installation of equipment, configuring of new software and programs, conduct training, upgrade computers, printers, maintain servers and networks connections, and all software needs. Submit reports and justifications for budgetary requests and maintain all IT related inventory.
This position may require working varying shifts including overnight, weekends, holidays, and is subject to re-call during emergency situations, even during time of weather emergencies and/ or inclement weather conditions.

This position will accrue compensatory time in lieu of overtime, unless emergency or disaster situations in which would then have to be approved by the Departmental Director or their designee.
A Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field or the equivalent to 5+ years in systems development, computer operations, technical support, network support, IT systems analysis, with multiple professional certificates may be considered.
Valid Driver License may be required for some positions in this classification.
