Your Role:

Coordinate the reception and distribution of documents from the ocean import department in order to provide quick and efficient customer service.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Follow up with agents and ocean liners for transport documents.
• Follow up with the arrivals and update the files in the information system (Ex. Control # of cargo, # container and verification of documents).

• Prepare payments for ocean liners according to the costs authorized by the supervisor or team leader.
• Send payments to the ocean liners.
• Obtain releases, ocean liner pick up number and ensure to receive all the necessary elements to release the cargo.
• Separate the manifests.
• Advise the customer service agent of any changes.
• Keep to date the sent files with documents received from agents.
• Other duties as defined by the immediate supervisor.

What we’re looking for:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in an office environment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office and excellent aptitude for data entry.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English both orally and written.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
