What You Can Expect
Coordinate ocean export and import shipments and related activities in accordance with customer and/or forwarding agent requirements, and company objectives.
- Manage shipments from booking to delivery, including tracking and route optimization.
- Prepare and process shipping documents (BOL, AWB, invoices, EEI, etc.).
- Coordinate with customers, agents, vendors, and internal teams.
- Maintain shipment records, costing, quoting, and billing.
- Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with FMC, NVOCC regulations, and INCOTERMS 2020.
- Resolve operational and system-related issues as needed.
What You Bring:
- Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in the logistics and transportation industry, preparing and processing international ocean shipments, in-transit shipments and/or inland-freight shipments.
- Associates degree, vocational training in a related field or a minimum of two years of college coursework preferred.
- US export/import compliance training preferred.
- Ocean DG training is a plus.
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Office suite, and ability to learn and adapt to Rhenus systems.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written; bilingual a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- ACE system knowledge preferred
