Job Description

We are looking for an Ocean Country Tradelane Manager. In this role, you will work closely with your colleagues within the Ocean department and report directly to the Ocean Product Development Manager Belgium. Your base location will be Antwerp.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Take full responsibility for end-to-end ocean procurement processes, including supplier selection, RFQ processes, contract negotiations, and approval of purchase requests.
  • Monitor market developments and translate trends into commercial and operational recommendations.
  • Advise management and internal stakeholders on procurement policies, procedures, and market strategies.
  • Analyse operational performance and prepare reports and improvement proposals for country management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, legislation, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Support and/or lead cross-functional projects within procurement and operations.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments (Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, Trade Management).
  • Coach and support team members (where applicable).

In addition, you bring the following knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in ocean procurement or sea freight logistics (depending on seniority).
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management within an international environment.
  • Results-driven, customer-oriented, and an excellent communicator.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch, French, and English.
