Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) – Cypress Ridge Care Center

Starting Rate: $52-55 per hour
Status: Full-Time
Location: Cypress Ridge Care Center

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our therapy department. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will assist in implementing therapeutic interventions designed to promote residents’ functional abilities, independence, and overall well‑being.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist

  • Provide therapeutic activities to improve ADLs, functional mobility, strength, and coordination

  • Document resident progress in accordance with center policies and regulatory requirements

  • Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home programs

  • Assist with training in the use of adaptive equipment

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals

  • Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging therapy environment

Qualifications

  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of California

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient‑care skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative care team

  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) preferred, but not required
