You will be working on theprimary and the secondary wards
Set in a semi-rural location in Hook, Hampshire, Priory Hospital Mildmay Oaks supports the NHS by providing low secure services and level 2 rehabilitation services for both male and female patients. This includes a specialist learning disability and autism spectrum support.
We also offer adult and child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), and single-person, bespoke therapeutic placements (BTPs) across our hospital.
Priory Hospital Mildmay Oaks RG27 8BS. The location is not easily accessible via public transport, with limited direct routes and infrequent services in the surrounding area. As a result, commuting by car or other private transport is likely to be the most practical and reliable option for reaching the site.

What you'll be doing

The post holder will accurately maintain and update clinical records and computerised information systems as directed by the Occupational Therapist, ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner. Responsibilities include recording and reporting patient participation in both 1:1 and group sessions, promptly escalating and documenting any unusual physical, mental, or emotional concerns to senior staff. The role requires a compassionate and proactive approach, encouraging positive interaction and engagement among patients within activities and group settings. The successful candidate will support the development of activity schedules and service timetables, assist with clinical and Occupational Therapy assessments, and contribute ideas to enhance patient experience based on feedback from community groups and OT sessions. They will also support the implementation of new group-wide programmes to ensure consistent service delivery across the Priory Group, while helping provide services that offer good value for money and support the overall aims of the site. A key focus of the role is working with patients to develop life skills, increase their sense of purpose, and improve overall well-being through prescribed OT sessions and therapeutic activities.

You will join the team across all wards. In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
