Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Occupational Therapist assess, plan, organize and participate in the rehabilitative programs that help restore skills in activities of daily living, work or productive activities, and play or leisure. Develop a treatment plan by incorporating that data obtained through the assessment of the patient’s medical history, appropriate tests and measures and functional ability.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. May have Masters Degree.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Alabama and holds current BCLS (CPR) certification.
Equipment/Tools/Work Aids Understands and has experience with the basic equipment used in outpatient and/or inpatient occupational therapy.
Specialized Skills Requires a high level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, gain cooperation and exhibit customer service skills. Requires basic computer skills.
