Our Rehabilitation Department offers:

  • Inpatient therapy services
  • Outpatient adult therapy
  • Outpatient pediatric therapy in free-standing clinics

This position is primarily based in our outpatient pediatric setting, working with children across a variety of developmental and functional needs.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for delivering optimal patient care through the planning, organization, and implementation of individualized occupational therapy programs. This role includes evaluation, assessment, documentation, and treatment, with an emphasis on supporting pediatric patients in achieving functional independence and developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Educate families and caregivers on treatment strategies and home programs
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and ethical guidelines

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) in the state of South Carolina
  • Previous pediatric or outpatient therapy experience preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
  • Current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 60 days of hire.
