Occupational Therapist (OT) – Hand Therapy Focus (CHT)

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients with hand injuries or conditions
• Utilize evidence-based techniques to promote recovery and functional independence
• Educate patients and their families on injury management and preventive strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Stay current with advancements in hand therapy and occupational therapy practices

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the relevant state
• Experience or interest in hand therapy preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification is not required but is a significant plus

Requirements

· Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity conditions, including post-surgical cases, traumatic injuries, repetitive stress injuries, and chronic conditions

· Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals

· Fabricate custom orthoses/splints for various upper extremity conditions

· Perform detailed initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patient progress using standardized testing and evidence-based outcome measures

· Document patient care in accordance with clinical standards, insurance requirements, and regulatory guidelines

· Communicate effectively with referring physicians, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers

· Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, activity modifications, and injury prevention

· Maintain current knowledge of hand therapy techniques and best practices through continuing education

OrthoNJ, LLC is required by New Jersey law to include the salary range for this role. The salary range for this role is $79k-$114k annually. The range for this role is typically determined by several factors, including the geography in which the selected candidate will be working, and alignment with qualifications and experience. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation (bonus, etc.) and/or benefits. In addition, full-time employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vison and retirement plan.
