Job Description

TruBlue of Flower Mound is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to serve as a Medical Referral Strategist.

This is not a traditional sales position.

This role focuses on building and expanding medical referral channels by leveraging clinical expertise and professional relationships within the healthcare community.

The ideal candidate understands senior care, aging-in-place needs, and has established connections within:

  • Home Health Agencies

  • Physical Therapy Clinics

  • Senior Living Communities

  • Hospitals / Case Managers

  • Geriatric Care Managers

  • Physicians / Nurse Practitioners

Core Mission

Develop and strengthen medical referral partnerships that drive high-quality home safety and accessibility projects for seniors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Medical Relationship Development

  • Build strategic relationships with:

    • Home health providers

    • Case managers

    • Discharge planners

    • Senior care coordinators

  • Conduct in-person meetings and educational visits

  • Present TruBlue’s Aging-in-Place solutions

2. Clinical Assessment Support

  • Provide insight on:

    • Fall risk mitigation

    • Home safety modifications

    • ADA-related recommendations

  • Collaborate with TruBlue team on project scoping when needed

3. Referral Channel Expansion

  • Develop long-term referral pipelines

  • Maintain consistent follow-up with medical partners

  • Track referral performance metrics

4. Strategic Advisory Role

  • Advise ownership on:

    • Healthcare positioning strategy

    • Senior safety messaging

    • Community outreach opportunities

Qualifications

Required:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (Texas license preferred)

  • Experience in senior care or home health

  • Strong local healthcare network

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in discharge planning

  • Experience working with aging-in-place modifications

  • Familiarity with DFW senior care ecosystem

Compensation Structure

  • Competitive hourly base (20 hours/week)

  • Performance-based commission (5–15%) on referred projects
