About the Role

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment services for patients requiring rehabilitation support
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques, safety strategies, and recovery goals
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Support patients in achieving maximum functional independence and quality of life

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment approaches as needed
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning activities
• Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals and discharge recommendations
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in Florida
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification, or ability to obtain prior to employment
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Previous hospital or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required
