Position Title: Occupational Therapist (Inpatient and Outpatient)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Therapy

Reports To: Manager of Therapy, Director of Therapy

POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Occupational Therapist (OTR), you will help to ensure that REHAB patients and their families receive caring and dedicated service at REHAB. You will provide support for the Therapy Department and assist with a variety of services with a commitment to delivering high-quality, comprehensive and innovative inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. These services include interpreting physician’s orders, performing evaluations and assessments; designing and implementing plans of care; maintaining treatment and progress reports; drafting and/or presenting oral or written reports of patient’s status; collaborating with team members toward reaching patient’s goals.

Starting Wage: $86,005.67 per year

The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certification/Licensure:

• Current State of Hawaii OT licensure.
• Current NBCOT certification as an OTR.
• Current BLS certification
• Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.

Education:

• Graduate from an ACOTE accredited school of Occupational Therapy.

Skills/Experience:

• Ability to safely and effectively manage patients’ mobility.
• Ability to clearly communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to safely provide care to patients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills/Experience:

• For Inpatient: One (1) year physical rehabilitation experience.
• For Outpatient: Minimum two (2) years physical rehabilitation experience.
• For Hand Clinic: One (1) year experience in hand rehabilitation, participation in at least one (1) splinting workshop which includes dynamic splinting principles.
