Position: Occupational Therapist - Grade 1 or Grade 2 - Community Health

Location: Regional Victoria, AU

Employment Type:
Permanent Full-Time

Salary:
$88,467.60 - $101,691.20

++Relocation support: Intrastate (over 100kms) - up to $2,500, Interstate - up to $5,000, Overseas - up to $8,000

++Accommodation Support: Up to $350 per week up to 10 weeks; or 10 weeks interim Accommodation (if available)

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide diverse, client-focused services within community-based programs aimed at restoring health and wellbeing for older adults. You'll work independently within a multidisciplinary team, delivering efficient and effective interventions that meet high standards of excellence. This role offers a varied caseload, including discharge home visits, functional assessments, rehabilitation, cognitive therapy, and minor home modifications (no major modifications). You'll collaborate closely with team assistants to provide regular interventions for all clients.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver client-focused occupational therapy services, including discharge home visits, functional assessments, rehabilitation, and cognitive therapy
  • Provide minor home modifications to enhance client safety and independence
  • Collaborate with team assistants and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver regular interventions
  • Develop goal-oriented care plans to support clients health and wellbeing
  • Work independently while contributing to a supportive, team-based environment
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives

Who Were Looking For

  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Registration: Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Skills: Well-developed time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under minimal supervision
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical Proficiency: Sound knowledge of computer-based software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, database management systems)
  • Licence: Current drivers licence
  • Sponsorship: Suitably qualified candidates eligible for employer-nominated sponsorship (ANZSCO 252411)
