Occupational Therapist-Children's of MississippiPlans and conduct occupational therapy programs in hospital, institutional, or community settings to help individuals recover from illness, injury, or developmental or psychological conditions. Administers treatments to improve self-care, daily living skills, communication, mobility, cognitive function, social integration, and play/leisure skills.
Certifications, Licenses or Registrationrequired
Occupational Therapist from the Mississippi Department of Health required by the hire date.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and/or kinesiology. Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, as well as for counseling and guidance. Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, family members, and staff. Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress. Ability to motivate individuals to set and achieve goals.
