Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Children & Young People
Location: Suffolk
Pay Rate: £41 per hour
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Children & Young People (DCYP) Services Team in Suffolk. This county-wide role focuses on maximising quality of life and independence for children and young people with complex disabilities, while supporting parents and carers in their caring roles.
You will provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments of need within the local authority’s statutory responsibility, working flexibly across the county. Office attendance is required for team meetings, but there is no expectation of being regularly based in the office.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Conduct home-based assessments for children and young people with complex disabilities
  • Identify difficulties and explore solutions through advice, information, and intervention
  • Provide specialist equipment and adaptations (minor and major) to enhance safety and independence
  • Support parents and carers in their caring roles
  • Liaise with professionals across health, education, housing, and community equipment services
  • Maintain accurate records in line with statutory and professional standards

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HCPC Registration and full Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Experience working with disabled children, ideally within a Social Care setting (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills to manage your own workload
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with families, children, young people, and professionals
