Job Description

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join its client's Adult Social Care service in Wokingham, Berkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with Adult Social Care experience. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based work, remote working and community visits while supporting adults to maximise their independence, choice and quality of life.

Role Details

• Working Pattern: Up to 2 days in the office, with up to 3 days working remotely or undertaking community visits

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Locum Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Undertake comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to identify individuals’ functional abilities and support needs.
• Assess risks and identify appropriate interventions to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Recommend suitable equipment, adaptations and support solutions.
• Develop person-centred recommendations and contribute to effective care planning.
• Work collaboratively with Social Workers, healthcare professionals and wider multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely assessment records and professional reports.
• Manage a varied caseload, prioritising referrals according to individual needs and risks.
• Support individuals to maintain their independence, choice and quality of life within the community.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Relevant experience working within Adult Social Care.
• Strong functional assessment and professional reasoning skills.
• Experience identifying appropriate equipment and adaptations.
• Excellent communication, assessment and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage a caseload independently while working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
