Salary - £31249 to £38040 per annum, depending on experience

Full-time - 37.5 hours per week, 9-month fixed term

Priory Hospital Woodbourne is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the team on a 9-month fixed-term contract.

Priory Hospital Woodbourne, Edgbaston, Birmingham is a specialist inpatient and outpatient mental health service providing treatment for addictions and a range of mental health conditions, alongside assessments, therapy and psychiatry. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Woodbourne Road and Five Ways railway station approximately 1–2 miles from the hospital.

What you'll be doing

As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll support patients to build the confidence, skills and coping strategies needed for greater independence. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide evidence-based, person-centred assessments and interventions tailored to individual needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients and develop individualised treatment plans.
  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions through individual and group sessions.
  • Monitor progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, patients and carers.
  • Support junior staff and contribute to high standards of clinical practice.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential for the role

Candidates must be HCPC registered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or a relevant degree (including honours degree, postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, or Master’s pre-registration qualification in Occupational Therapy)
