Schedule: Full Time

Location: El Cajon: 1625 East Main St. El Cajon, CA 92021

Salary Range:
$82,000-90,000 + bonuses

  • Supervision of clinical staff in accordance with the board of CA
  • Follow proper documentation and billing practices
  • Communicate with physicians and other practitioners for collaborative care
  • Clinic Duties
  • Perform Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatment
  • Perform objective measurements with proficiency and on a consistent basis
  • Perform splinting and splint fabrication as needed
  • Provide motivation, education, guidance, and support to patients.
  • Must have some experience working with hand related diagnosis.
  • The clinic patient demographic and treatment diagnosis include: post- op tendon repairs as well as routine hand upper extremity diagnosis (Private, PPO, Workers' Compensation, Medicare).
  • Provide education to patients that includes but is not limited to:
  • Pertinent findings of examination
  • Treatment expectations
  • The importance of and benefits of Occupational Therapy
  • The importance of compliance with plan of care for improved outcomes
  • Provide robust home exercise programs that are progressed on a consistent basis
  • Provide basic and proper case management of patient care and treatment per medical necessity
  • Provide appropriate supervision during treatment sessions with an aide or COTA
  • Perform/understand ACSM Clinical Exercise Guidelines for PRE
  • Document according to company standards to include compliance with Medicare MIPS documentation as well as CA documentation guidelines.
  • Proficient with use of Raintree EMR and Physitrack for HEP
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings
  • Maintain highest quality of care in accordance with company standards:
  • Assist with patient scheduling when conflicts arise to ensure that every patient is able to schedule according to their prescribed POC
  • Actively manage caseload and make phone calls to patients when needed
  • Communication with physician/NP to collaborate care

Qualifications:

Education BS, MOT or greater

Experience:

· Clinical experience in outpatient Orthopedic setting

· Hand experience preferred

· Good verbal communication skills.

Licenses Occupational Therapy license in good standing with the California Board of Occupational Therapy
