Job Description

Join our client at Redbridge’s dynamic HASS Cranbrook & Loxford team and deliver high‑quality Occupational Therapist (OT) practice within an integrated community health and adult social care service. You’ll work across the borough as part of a strong MDT, managing a mixed caseload of standard and complex Occupational Therapist referrals with around 4 new cases per week.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Complete holistic, person‑centred Occupational Therapist (OT) assessments for adults with diverse and complex needs.
  • Lead on major adaptations, producing sketches, reading plans and writing detailed specifications.
  • Carry out complex manual handling assessments and advise on safe systems of work.
  • Prescribe, review and teach safe use of simple and complex equipment.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team, contributing to duty, case reviews and support planning.
  • Manage and prioritise a varied caseload with autonomy and strong clinical reasoning.
  • Apply a solid understanding of social care legislation, housing law and best‑practice frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

  • Extensive experience in specialist equipment, major adaptations and manual handling.
  • Confident working autonomously and managing your own workload.
  • Strong background in multi‑disciplinary practice.
  • HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist.

Essential Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of major adaptations, complex equipment and manual handling.
  • Strong MDT experience with complex, holistic OT assessments and duty participation.
  • Clear understanding of legal social care frameworks and housing legislation.
  • Proven ability to manage, prioritise and progress complex cases independently.
  • Skilled in assessing, prescribing and reviewing simple and complex equipment safely and effectively.
