Occupational Therapist (OT) – Acute Care Contract

Location: Canton, Georgia 30115

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 05/18/2026
End Date: 08/15/2026
Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (varies based on department needs)

Seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract assignment in an acute care hospital setting This role supports a diverse inpatient population across the hospital, providing high-quality rehabilitation services based on physician orders.

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions, helping restore function, improve independence, and support safe discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient acute care occupational therapy services
• Evaluate, assess, and treat patients across multiple hospital units
• Work with ICU, stroke/neuro, orthopedic, and general medical-surgical populations
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders
• Support functional mobility, ADLs, and discharge readiness
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner (One Chart)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and clinical best practices

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience
• Experience in acute care or hospital-based setting preferred
• Active Georgia Occupational Therapist (OT) License required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience using Cerner / One Chart EMR system preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient care skills
