Summary

The Iowa Veterans Home is accepting applications for an Occupational Therapist. This position implements highly structured occupational therapy programs to teach activities of daily living, improve perceptual motor, and strengthening exercises. Encourages and recommends involvement in appropriate therapeutic program modalities.

Duties include:

  • Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on clinical records, observation or physician referrals.
  • Dysphagia evaluations
  • Fabricates adaptive equipment and splints
  • Administers standardized tests and assessment tools for evaluation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Licensure or a limited permit to practice as an Occupational Therapist as issued by the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
