Job Description

The Occupational Safety & Health Coordinator supports the coordination and implementation of occupational safety and health (OSH) requirements across GE Vernova’s Taiwan operations, with primary focus on GEVI as a regulated Class A operation. You will support regulatory compliance, GE Vernova EHS programs, and provides administrative and system‑level support to project and operational activities, including construction & commissioning (C&C) and operations & maintenance (O&M). This is an entry‑level opportunity for qualified required the valid license mentioned below.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate occupational safety and health activities to ensure compliance with Taiwan OSH regulations including but not limiting to implementation & maintenance of OSH Management aligned with CNS45001 / ISO 45001 and GE Vernova standard; OSH polices, procedures, plans and work instruction etc.
  • Coordinate OSH committee activities, statutory OSH programs, worker health promotion, and legally required OSH plans.
  • Support regulatory self‑inspections, audits, reporting, and engagement with labor inspection authorities.
  • Coordinate OSH education and training programs, including new employee orientation.
  • Deliver mandatory regulatory safety training (6‑hour training) in Chinese and English.
  • Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance tracking.
  • Coordinate office emergency preparedness activities, drills, and fire safety inspections.
  • Support implementation of GE Vernova EHS programs, including Life‑Saving Rules (LSR), audits, inspections, performance tracking, and EHS data reporting.
  • Coordinate collection and reporting of manhours, injury rates, and EHS performance indicators.
  • Maintain Taiwan EHS Hub content, EHS systems, and documentation.
  • Track EHS events, concern reports, and corrective actions; follow up with sites for closure.
  • Provide administrative and system support to C&C projects and O&M activities.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections as required.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of EHS personnel across Taiwan entities (GEVI, GEGS, GEPT).
  • Support incident response coordination and documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (MUST)

  • Valid license of Occupational Safety Management Specialist or Occupational Health Management Specialist (Level A) 職業安全管理師 or 職業衛生管理師 (甲級) issued by local authority.
  • Valid license of Occupational Safety and Health Supervisor (Construction Industry), Category A certification 甲種職業安全衛生業務主管(營造業) issued by local authority
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (written and spoken)
  • Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable with administrative, system‑based, and compliance‑focused work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to learn internal EHS systems and reporting tools
  • Required to be based at Taipei office and travel to project site as and when required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn CNS 45001 / ISO 45001
  • Exposure to construction, commissioning, or O&M environments (preferred but not required)
  • Interest in developing as an internal EHS trainer
