The Division of Occupational Health Services (OHS) atMelroseWakefieldHospital is seeking a full-time Occupational HealthServices NP/PA Managerto join our OHS team at our location in Medford, MA. This is a leadership opportunity with supervisory responsibilities managing a staff of four nursing professionals. The schedule for this role is 5 days per week (Mon-Fri) from 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM with no weekends, holidays, or call.Previousleadership experience working in an OHS hospital setting or occupational medicine clinic is highly desired.

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing care for pre-employment screening, work related injuries and exposures,follow-upand referral; fitness for duty and periodic employee health evaluations
As an expert professional, the Occupational Health Nurse Practitioneror Physician Assistantis responsible and accountable for the application of theclinical practice, supervision ofnursing activities, research involvement when applicable, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education,leadershipand patient care management across the health care continuum.
Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to employees and other workforce members according toestablishedcollaborative protocols and standards of care
Promotes andmaintainsthe health and safety of individuals in the workplace
Plays a critical role in preventing work-related injuries and illness, ensuring compliance with occupational health state and federal regulations, and providing comprehensive healthcare services to employees
Conducts assessments of employees’ health and fitness for specific job roles
Conducts assessments for suspected impairment and reasonable suspicion cases
Provides health screenings and administers vaccinations
Manages health surveillance programs toidentifypotential workplace health hazards
Offers education on injury prevention, ergonomicpracticesand health promotion
Provides initial medical care andfacilitatesreferrals for workers’ compensation cases
Demonstrates awareness of community resources andassistsstaff, patients, and families to effectivelyutilizethem
Oversees group of fournursing professionals with approximately 40% of time spent in providing clinical care and 60% of time with administrative, managerial and policy setting activities
Who you are:
Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with authorization by the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in an expanded roleor current license to practice as a registered Physician Assistant with the Board of Registration of Physician Assistants
Registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization for Nurse Practitionersor certified by the NCCPA for Physician Assistants
Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges
Current BLS and ACLS Certification
A minimum of three years of current clinical nursing experience in Occupational Health and/or Adult Medicine is preferred. Experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine would be helpful
Previousexperience in a supervisory role

Pay Range
$149,760.00 - $187,200.00
