Summary
This position is responsible for performing regulatory testing, injury/illness care, worker’s comp, wellness education for employees within the nursing scope of practice, the structure of the Client Standards, policies, procedures, and treatment care guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides medical care to clinic patients as requested/needed, and within the RN scope of practice, following treatment care guidelines set forth by the occupational health director.
- Assist providers on Injury & Illness management
- Assist providers in managing, coordinating, documentation of Workers Comp claims & communicates with Client’s WC claims carrier as needed.
- Maintain Electronic Medical Record (EMR- Cority) or paper medical records and ensures complete & accurate documentation
- Performs regulatory testing including but not limited to: Respiratory medical evaluation, spirometry, audiometry, vision tests, urine test, EKG, immunizations, blood draws, stress test, MicroFit, heat stress
- May perform First Aid, CPR, AED, and other training as necessary
- Provides preventive health education to employees as needed within scope of practice.
- Maintains clinic utilization reports
- Participates in general flow of clinic operations (answers phones, checks email, medical records, scheduling, filing, copying charts, traffic control).
- Maintain clinic’s medical & office supplies in collaboration with ancillary staff
- Maintains communication with the Clinic Medical Director, Account manager, Team Lead & client as necessary
- Ensures that employees have appropriate return-to-work clearances.
- Coordinates employee exams &medical surveillance

QualificationsEducation and Experience
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid California RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred
- Must hold current BLS certification
- 3–5 years RN experience required
- 2-3 years’ experience in an urgent care, emergency department or occupational health setting preferred
- Certification in Occupational Health preferred
- Ergo assessment preferred but not required

Computer Skills
- Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
Physical Demands
- Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
- Some bending and stretching could be required.
- Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
- Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
- Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to navigate uneven surfaces
- Must be able to don PPE as required

Work Environment
- Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
- The noise level is usually moderate.
- Air quality is good, and temperature is controlled.
This position has an hourly pay range of $55 - $62 per hour. Final compensation for this position depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
