Looking for a role where you can combine your clinical expertise with meaningful business impact?

We're seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join IXOM's Health & Wellness team, providing specialist occupational health advice and support across our Australian operations. This is a unique opportunity to work across a broad range of industries, helping protect the health and wellbeing of employees who operate in manufacturing, chemical, logistics and office-based environments.

Working closely with site leaders, People & Culture, SHEQ teams and external health providers, you'll play a key role in supporting fitness for work, health surveillance programs and workplace health initiatives across the business.

About your role

This is a specialist role providing occupational health support across IXOM's Australian operations.

You'll act as a trusted advisor to employees, managers and health providers, helping navigate complex health matters while balancing employee wellbeing, privacy obligations and business needs. The role involves health surveillance, fitness for work assessments, return-to-work support, health promotion initiatives and occupational health risk management.

You'll also work closely with occupational physicians and external providers, helping translate clinical information into practical workplace outcomes and supporting continuous improvement of IXOM's health programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical occupational health advice relating to workplace health risks, fitness for work and employee wellbeing.
  • Coordinate and manage health surveillance programs, including medicals, respiratory assessments and exposure monitoring.
  • Support health promotion and preventative health initiatives across the business.
  • Partner with managers, employees and external providers to deliver effective occupational health outcomes.
  • Support return-to-work and workplace health case management activities.
  • Maintain accurate health records and support compliance with occupational health requirements.

Who are we looking for?

  • Registered Nurse with relevant Occupational Health qualifications.
  • Occupational Health Nursing experience, ideally within manufacturing, chemicals, heavy industry, mining, construction or similar operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of health surveillance programs, fitness-for-work principles and workplace health risk management.
  • Ability to interpret clinical information and communicate outcomes clearly to a non-medical audience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • High level of confidentiality, professional judgement and excellent time management skills.
