What this job involves:
As an Occupancy Planner, you will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and updating space data across our client's portfolio in a designated region. Your analytical expertise and strategic thinking will drive scenario planning and occupancy solutions that optimize workplace efficiency. You'll leverage your relationship-building skills and technical proficiency to deliver comprehensive space management solutions while contributing to planning initiatives that support hybrid work environments and contemporary office design principles. What your day-to-day will look like:
Build and maintain strong partnerships across business units, stakeholders, and facility management teams while serving as the liaison ensuring coordination and collaboration
Execute core deliverables including monthly reporting, data audits, utilization tracking, space and adjacency requirements gathering, and space layout updates
Support various occupancy planning tasks by applying analytical thinking, decision-making skills, and sound judgment to solve space challenges
Simplify complex spatial data and contribute to project delivery, adapting to changing client needs with proactive solutions
Develop compelling PowerPoint presentations that consolidate data and floor plans for client stakeholders across organizational levels
Conduct facility audits and contribute to planning strategies that optimize workplace efficiency and support hybrid work environments
Interpret and analyze floor plans while utilizing space planning tools, CAFM systems, and BI platforms to deliver occupancy solutions
Track occupancy utilization metrics and apply contemporary office design principles to support mobile and collaborative workplace trends
Required qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
3–5 years of experience in occupancy planning, space management, interior office planning, furniture planning/management, move/project management, or related facilities function in a corporate real estate setting
Familiarity with workplace strategy concepts and hybrid work environments
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and interpret floor plans
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, xlookup, and complex formulas) and PowerPoint
Demonstrated critical thinking skills with an analytical approach to space data analysis and ability to contribute meaningful insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact effectively across organizational levels
Proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and managing multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with numbers and spatial creativity
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
Experience with industry-standard software including AutoCAD, CAFM, and BI systems
Excellent presentation abilities with demonstrated executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management and clients
Comprehensive understanding of occupancy utilization metrics, contemporary office design principles, and emerging workplace trends
Highly collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a strong customer service approach and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
