Occasional Babysitter

Compensation: Dkr200.00 - Dkr250.00 / hour

Occasional Babysitter in Copenhagen, 2300

A lovely family in the Amager neighborhood is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 18-month-old daughter, starting immediately. Backup care is needed intermittently on Thursdays and/or Fridays for a minimum of 3 hours between 3:30 PM and 9:00 PM. Their daughter enjoys outdoor walks, park visits, and reading. She underwent heart surgery as an infant and is doing well. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family's requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed weekly or monthly hours for this position. The family would like a caregiver who is attentive and safety-conscious.

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Length of Position: Long-term
  • Schedule: Intermittent care — No guaranteed hours
    • Typical needs: Thursday and/or Friday between 3:30 PM and 9:00 PM (minimum of 3 hour shifts)
  • Compensation: 200-250 DKK per hour

Responsibilities

  • Diaper changes and future potty-training support
  • Prepare or warm meals for the child
  • Accompany child on walks and park outings (stroller or cargo bike)

Requirements:

  • 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
  • CPR certified, or willing to become certified
  • Legally authorized to work in Denmark
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
  • Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
  • Fluent Danish speaker
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the Amager area

Compensation:

Family is paying 200-250 DKK per hour
