WORK TYPE: Full time, non-exempt

WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 8AM-4:30PM CST

COMPENSATION $22–$23 an hour

Pay rate will vary based on criteria such as education, experience and qualifications of the applicant, location, internal equity, and alignment with the market.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY:

As a member of the Yearbook Order Center (YOC) you'll play an integral role in growing the digital marketing efforts of Varsity Yearbooks. You’ll serve as a liaison between school yearbook advisers and Varsity Yearbook Sales Representatives and the YOC. In this role you will also have regular interaction with the yearbook purchasers, assisting customers with questions, processing orders and/or resolving problems.

You will represent Varsity Brands by demonstrating company core values and upholding the highest ethical standards in all business activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage an account load of about 35-40 reps, 1500 schools.
  • Work quickly and accurately on all mailings, error free.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers and Yearbook Order Center partners.
  • Prepares mailing databases and work orders to send to mailing vendor.
  • Answers customer calls to assist customers and solve customer problems.
  • Keeps track of received orders and source documents.
  • Prepares and sorts source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
  • Contacts preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
  • Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen, and enters necessary codes.
  • Works closely with ISPs and customers to set up and track sales for yearbook items and packages and OAC and SAC ad sales and packages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply practical understanding in carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, such as following step-by-step procedures for troubleshooting technical issues.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and problem resolution.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
